Marble or Porcelain?!
Today’s porcelain tile has made such improvements that it is actually pretty hard to differentiate the two. Nowadays you can have the practicality of tile and have a very realistic stone look.
Why not?!
This, along with an affordable price point, has made porcelain (specially XL formats)very popular.

We are not doing as many mosaics/patterns on the back of shampoo niches anymore.
Read that again.
We are finding more customers ask to have a smooth seamless back to the recessed shampoo boxes. We are often hearing “why call attention to the messy bottles of products in the shower?!”
I guess it looks great before there is a ton of products in there, not so much when the shower is actually being used. It is much more practical to have this be a more inconspicuous feature.

Some super IMPORTANT tips to keep your project on time, on budget and get you the great space you want!
• Hire a designer. A good designer will save you time, money and get you a space you couldn’t even imagine.
• Don’t cut any corners, specially at the end of your project. Can’t tell you how often we see this - commit to the design and stick it out to the end.
It will be worth it.
• Hire a GREAT contractor. Do your research and do NOT hire the cheapest bid, not the place to save on cost. Good work is not cheap, cheap work is not good.
• Too much of a GOOD thing is still TOO MUCH. Just because you love an item or finish doesn’t mean you have to have it everywhere. Moderation is 🔑.
• Large format tile is NOW. 12x24 is being used less and less, a LRG tile is not going to make your space look smaller - It will have less grout joints and allow a more natural flow of the tile pattern. Embrace it.
